We are located about 30 minutes (by car) west of Victoria, on Highway 14. Sooke is a quaint, seaside village. Whether you're interested in hiking through rugged coastal rainforests, fine dining, browsing through local craft shops or try your luck fishing for wild B.C. salmon, Sooke has much to offer. Directions to Hartmann House: From Victoria or Coho ferry terminal: Take Douglas Street which becomes Hwy 1(Trans Canada Hwy). Take exit 10 (best exit)to Sooke Rd. You will travel approx 20 minutes on Sooke Rd. We are located 2kms past the 17 mile house pub on the right. You will see a large cedar gate with Hartmann House on it at 5262 Sooke Rd. Open the gate, park in the lot and walk up through the garden.

Directions to Hartmann House from Swartz Bay , Sidney BC ferry terminal or Victoria International Airport: Take Hwy 17 ( Pat Bay Hwy) and cross over to Hwy 1 (Trans Canada Hwy) by way of Mckenzie Ave. Turn right on Hwy 1 and take exit 10 (best exit)to Sooke Rd ( Hwy 14 west).  You will travel approx 20 minutes on Sooke Rd. We are located 2kms past the 17 mile house pub on the right. You will see a large cedar gate with Hartmann House on it at 5262 Sooke Rd. Open the gate, park in the lot and walk up through the garden. BC FERRIES- Vancouver (Tsawwassen) to Victoria (Swartz Bay). This BC ferry runs on a regular basis all year and has a 1 hr 30 min sailing time. A beautiful trip through the Gulf Islands. For reservations call 1-888-753-3774.
COHO FERRY - Port Angeles, Washington to Downtown Victoria, BC. This is a small ferry and note lineups during peak season result in waiting times of 3-4 hrs. NO RESERVATIONS possible. Sailing time 1 hr 30min. 1-360-457-4491
WASHINGTON STATE FERRY - Anacortes, Washington to Victoria, BC(Sidney). This is also a small ferry that does 2 international runs in the peak season and one in the fall and winter season. Sailing time is 3 hrs 30 min, but it is a very scenic trip through the San Juan Islands. Reservations a must.1-206-464-6400
VICTORIA CLIPPER - Seattle to Downtown Victoria. The Clipper is a fast catamaran passenger ferry. Sailing time is 2hrs 30min.Victoria car rental agencies will often deliver cars to the ferry dock. Reservations call 1-250-382-8100
